The Devon and Cornwall Training Provider Network has evolved from a number of localised partnerships, developed during the 1990s. It has been meeting since 2004 and was incorporated in 2005. It’s main objectives are:

• To provide support to its members through an effective organisational structure, through communications networks, shared training opportunities, and other services as agreed
• To promote work based and work related learning through facilitating the representation of members’ interests, through marketing and publicity, and celebrations of learners’ achievements
• To collaborate with key partners and stakeholders and thereby ensure that work based learning plays an effective part in new education and training developments in the area
• To develop quality in work based and work related learning provision through the development of consistent approaches to initial assessment, advice and guidance and the sharing of good practice in the delivery of training
